Susan is an archaeologist who specialises in the study of British prehistory, particularly monuments of the Neolithic and Early Bronze Age.
The area underneath and around the town of Dorchester in Dorset was an important place for Neolithic people, who built a variety of monuments here over a period of 2000 years. This talk will provide a detailed narrative of the emergence and development of this monument complex over time, but also trace the connections this area had with other parts of Britain and Ireland, through similarities in monument form and deposition practices, as well as art and artefacts.
