Less than two weeks now until we meet in the Public Rooms of the historic town of Liskeard.
The Cornwall Archaeological Society’s conference on 17 October has a series of talks on various aspects of the work over the last 50 years of the Cornwall Archaeological Unit (CAU).
CAU was originally the Cornwall Committee for Rescue Archaeology (CCRA), and now continues as a projects unit alongside its former parts in the Historic Environment Record, the Strategic Historic Environment team and Cornwall Council’s Archaeological Planners.
Conference programme and details: CAU 50 — Biennial Cornwall Archaeological Society Conference
Book in person: Ticket Tailor — in-person attendance
Book to attend by Zoom: Ticket Tailor — Zoom attendance
The cost of admission (£15 or £10) includes lunch for in-person attendees. As well as the talks, there will be stalls from partner organisations and the CAS book stall.
Most of all, there will be a swarm of archaeologists, as great a gathering as would have been seen in the stone circles or halls of yore. We look forward to seeing you there!
