Professor Charles Thomas died at his home in Truro last night after a short illness. Charles was one of the group of West Cornwall Field Club members that helped found the Cornwall Archaeological Society in 1962. He was President between 1984-87 and Hon Editor of the journal for the first 14 years. The Society and the world of archaeology has lost a notable scholar, a generous colleague, a great Cornishman and a friend to many.
