Dr Susanna Harris is the lecturer in Archaeology at the University of Glasgow. Her research has an emphasis on organic artefacts with the focus of her studies on the textiles, leather and basketry of the Neolithic and Bronze Age in Europe.
Must Farm – a settlement site dating to the Late Bronze Age (1000-800BC) – was destroyed by fire and collapsed within a body of water. The structures that comprised this site (as well as their contents) have been preserved where they fell. Susanna will be speaking on the textiles that have been recovered from Must Farm. Textiles being an extraordinary find for British prehistory.
