Cornwall Archaeological Society attended Awenek!, Cornwall Heritage Trust’s Great Cornish Heritage Festival, at Enys Gardens, St Gluvius, Penryn, TR10 9LB.
CAS was represented in our gazebo, with Imogen bringing examples of pottery. We also had Society merchandise and a selection of pre-loved books for sale, and members were on hand to answer questions and talk about archaeology in Cornwall.
The wider festival celebrated Cornwall’s heritage through historic re-enactment, Cornish storytelling, music and dance, hands-on activities, demonstrations and traditional skills.
