DESCRIPTION:July 25\, Sancreed Beacon\, Sancreed.\n\nA joint event with the
  Cornwall Heritage Trust (CHT) and the Cornwall Ancient Sites Protection N
 etwork (CASPN) as part of the annual Festival of Archaeology.\n\nA mix of 
 walks\, stalls and activities\, including for children to engage in such t
 hings as weaving\, lucet making\, wattle and daub making and artefact hand
 ling. There are also two 3-hour workshops (run by Devon and Cornwall Bushc
 raft CIC) on flint knapping and natural cordage making that can be booked 
 at £30 each from the Cornwall Heritage Trust website.\n\nThe walks includ
 e one led by Pete Herring of CAS (2pm-4pm) round the Beacon property of CH
 T\, including prehistoric round houses and fields\, Early Bronze Age summi
 t cairns\, and later beacon site and late medieval and post-medieval minin
 g remains. CASPN will lead a walk to Sancreed Holy Well (12 – 1pm)\, and
  the wonderful church and crosses of Sancreed are just down the hill. Glor
