SUMMARY:Eastern Zennor Walk led by Mike Attwell
DESCRIPTION:Please note that all walks now require advance booking\, with a
  maximum number restricted to 30. This is due in part to health and safety
  concerns\, as we often walk in difficult conditions\, both weather and te
 rrain.\n\nIf you would like to join a walk please contact the coordinator 
 of the CAS Events Group\, Mike Attwell\, via the email address events@corn
 isharchaeology.org.uk. Bookings will be accepted from the 1st of July. We 
 will be trialling an online ticketing system later this year and the proce
 ss should morph seamlessly from booking via emails to ticketing.\n\nJuly 1
 9\, Eastern Zennor.\nLed by Mike Attwell. 10.30 to c16.30.\n\nParking will
  be available close to the Eagle’s Nest above Zennor (SW 466 387\; W3W /
 /////relay.zoned.expel) for a loop walk (c 3.5 miles\, climbing c300 feet 
 in total).\n\nWe will start by heading up past Carne Cottage to Zennor Hil
 l to get an aerial view of the well-preserved field system in the Foage va
 lley. From here we will cross the upland plateau on which stand the early 
 neolithic cromlechs now known as Zennor and Sperris Quoits. The surface an
 d shaft mining of Wheal Sperris are spread between the two. In Sperris Cro
 ft is the line of prehistoric round houses that appear to have been transh
 umance huts. Nearby is a rock with well defined cupmarks\, presumed to be 
 Bronze Age. We will complete the walk by returning to the cars via the les
 s often visited Sperris ridge.\n\nBring lunch and wear sturdy boots and cl
