DESCRIPTION:Our understanding of Scillonian prehistory has been altered rec
 ently by excavations at Old Quay\, St Martin’s\, and by radiocarbon dati
 ng of Knackyboy Cairn cremations. How should we now interpret the islands
 ’ chronology and the degree of contact with the mainland\, especially wh
 en informed by the study of pottery both in prehistory and ‘Roman’ per
 iod’?\n\nBio: Henrietta joined Exeter University in 1970 as Extra-Mural 
 Tutor in Archaeology. She served on the CAS Committee for nearly 50 years 
 and is now an Honorary Vice-President. She has worked extensively on the p
 rehistory of the South West.\n\nCornish Archaeology Online is a series of 
 talks that is open to all. Talks will take place over Zoom and will explor
 e Archaeology in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.\n\nThe lecture will beg
 in at 7PM with access from 6:50PM. No registration will be required for th
 is session\, though entry is limited to the first 100 attendees.\n\n
