DESCRIPTION:The Bronze Age (broadly c2000BC-c1000BC) marked a period of con
 siderable change in Cornwall\, reflected in the archaeological record as t
 he earlier cairns\, standing stones and stone circles were incorporated in
 to the farming communities’ rapidly growing patterns of hamlets\, fields
  and commons. Cornwall has featured significantly in a recent burgeoning o
 f research into ancient landscape. Pete has recently been involved in grou
 nd breaking work using optically stimulated luminescence profiling and dat
 ing to demonstrate the prehistoric origins of distinctive Cornish field sy
 stems\, for example at Bosigran in West Penwith.\n\n
