DESCRIPTION:This 3.5 mile walk will be an opportunity to visit the varied l
 andscape and diverse historical significance of the Tamar Valley. At Danes
 combe House we will consider the D-Day landings and billeted troops before
  moving on to the local lime kilns\, incline railway\, viaduct and ferry. 
 Walking around the Calstock wetlands\, we will look at some of the quays a
 nd landings on the Tamar’s Devon bank\, before visiting Okel Tor Mine\, 
 the Roman camp\, and Calstock church. The walk is mainly level\, but there
  is one steepish climb to Calstock church. \n\nPlaces for the walk will be
  available from our Ticket Tailor box office three weeks prior\, please bo
 ok a ticket if you wish to receive a place on the walk.
