This talk will consider new excavations on a chambered tomb, and nearby settlement site, at Tresness, Sanday, Orkney. Tresness is the remains of a well-preserved stalled cairn which dates from the early Neolithic period, and the excavations enable new insights into how this type of monument was used here at this site, and potentially further afield.
