Webmaster & Online talks – position available

Written by |

We are currently in need of a new Webmaster to run our website and help maintain the Societies online presence. The role includes promoting CAS events, sharing Archaeology news from across Cornwall, updating our publications and sending out e-newsletters. The Webmaster also helps to run our social media channels (currently Facebook and Twitter) in collaboration with another Trustee. Our site runs on WordPress which is fairly easy to pick up for anyone technologically minded and you do not need to do any programming or have previous web editing experience.

We also need assistance running our online Zoom talks, which have proven very popular and which we hope to continue. This role can be fulfilled by the Webmaster, but given the time demands it would be helpful to have an additional member willing to help with the talks or take a leading role in running them. These are held one to two evenings a month in autumn and winter, and may involve additional tasks such as contacting speakers for practice sessions, promoting talks, setting up the Zoom events and sharing recordings.

If you are interested in either the Webmaster role (and Trustee position) or in getting involved with our Zoom talks please contact the Society secretary and present Webmaster by sending your initial email to both addresses:
