Welcome to the Members Area.

This exclusive area of the Society’s website is very much part of the benefits of becoming a Member of Cornwall Archaeological Society. It will increasingly be used to privilege Members with exclusive access to information not normally available to non-members. It is intended that this should become the electronic archive of the Society and comprises:

– The area where the details of CAS history and past activity are stored,

– Where the minutes and notes of Committee and Panel meetings can be accessed

– Names of Trustees and Committee and Panel members

– Back copies of all Journals, including the last 5 years, all Newsletters and other CAS publications

Copies of all of these will in time be scanned and made available.

An important part of the Society’s work is to enable and encourage Members to carry out research and to be able to take part in the activities that the Society organises. Guidance is provided on how to use the Cornwall Council Internet Mapping and the Cornwall and Scilly Historic Environment Record. It is hope that eventually an electronic archaeological library will be made available as well as advice on which internet research sites are most useful to Cornish studies. The Virtual Library will increasingly be at the disposal of Members.

The Members Forum enables Members to ask questions, make comments and post notices, whilst the Members News Desk keeps Members up to date with archaeological news from home and abroad that may be relevant to Cornwall or just be of interest or amusement.
